SeeSaw

Do Good, with Kathy

SeeSaw is an Oxfordshire charity dedicated to providing grief and bereavement support for children, in cases where a parent or sibling has died or is dying. Through practical support and understanding, SeeSaw strives to reduce the distress of grieving children and enable families to work together through the difficult times before and after the death of a loved one. Their support is child-focused, flexible and built around the needs of the family and young person concerned. One member of staff even uses her dog ‘Do Good’ (pictured right) when getting to know children.

Our funds will go towards providing the specialist resources, which are required to help the children, their families and the trained support workers understand how to deal with grief. Please click here to visit the charity's website.

Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Cancer Campaign

Oxford surgeons

The new £109 million Oxford Cancer Centre, at the Churchill Hospital in Headington, will open its doors to patients this autumn. We are supporting the Cancer Campaign, which aims to raise an additional £2 million to further enhance patient comfort. The money will be used to fund some additional pieces of high-tech equipment, such as Computer Integrated Theatres (CITs), which enable surgeons to perform more keyhole surgery. This is less invasive for patients and often results in quicker recovery times and less chance of infection. The campaign will also raise money to landscape the garden terraces and furnish day rooms.

The money we raise will go towards improving the gardens - with the overall effect being to make the environment as relaxing and comfortable as possible for patients and their visitors. Please click here to visit the charity's website.
